Jon Hussey is the founder of Stock Pitch Studio, a platform focused on helping MBA students develop professional-level investment thinking and prepare for buy-side investment careers.

Prior to launching the platform, Jon spent over seven years as an equity analyst at T. Rowe Price.

Origin of the platform

While working at T. Rowe Price, Jon became involved in the recruiting process through judging stock pitch competitions, attending business school investment conferences, mentoring pre-MBA interns, and participating in analyst interviews.

Through these experiences, he observed that many MBA students lacked opportunities to receive professional-level feedback on their investment ideas. With limited access to experienced investors, students often navigate the recruiting process primarily by learning from their peers.

Stock Pitch Studio was created to address this gap.

Mission of the platform

Stock Pitch Studio focuses on helping MBA students develop the investment thinking and stock pitch skills required to succeed in buy-side recruiting, while providing structured feedback rarely available in the traditional recruiting process.

Personal background

In December 2023, Jon stepped away from his role at T. Rowe Price to focus on family and to build Stock Pitch Studio. In 2024, his family relocated to Madrid, Spain to spend time abroad, learn a new language, and experience a different culture.
