About Me

My name is Jon Hussey, and I founded Stock Pitch Studio to combine two of my passions: investing and teaching. I earned an MBA at the University of Chicago and worked as an equity analyst at T. Rowe Price for over seven years. As my wife and I expanded our family with two young kids, I decided to leave my job in December 2023 to focus my time and energy on my family. In 2024, we moved to Madrid, Spain to learn a new language together, immerse in a new culture, and travel.

While at T. Rowe, I was involved in the recruiting process through judging stock pitch competitions, attending business school investment conferences, mentoring pre-MBA interns, and being active in the interview process. Over the years, I observed that business schools generally lack the resources needed for students to learn how to develop professional-level stock pitches. With scarce opportunities to receive feedback from professional investors, students must navigate the recruiting mostly by learning from other students. As a result, I founded Stock Pitch Studio with an offering focused on what would have been most helpful to me when I was in business school over a decade ago trying to break into buy-side equity research.
